Jerimoth Hill, Rhode Island (812')

Jerimoth Hill is barely a hill and certainly no mountain.  It is however, the highest point in Rhode Island.  After resting and relaxing in Maine and Boston, it was our last stop before heading to the airport and flying home.

Hill had once been the most restrictive state high point. The owners had only kept open it to the public only 5-times a year on open access days. In some cases, they shot at people who tried to highpoint any other day. Several years ago, new owners took over and allowed access every day from 8am to 4pm. Now the State owns the highpoint which includes the trail's entrance off Route 101. So the highpoint is now open at all times.

Stephenie and I had a very enjoyable time there.  It was a nice, easy way to wrap up what had been a very long and challenging trip.  We joked, laughed and had a very pleasurable time there. With this trip wrapped up, it was time to start thinking about what highpoint to visit next.
